ANNOUNCEMENT: A Historic Home for a New Generation of Mariners

Falmouth Academy’s five-day boarding students will reside in a beautifully restored historic inn located just steps from downtown Falmouth. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places under the name Mostly Hall, the property was originally built in 1849 as Falmouth’s first summer residence. Its distinctive architecture—rare for Cape Cod—reflects its origins as a wedding gift from sea captain Albert Nye to his bride, designed to evoke the elegance of New Orleans.

Today, this landmark home will be thoughtfully transformed into dormitory-style rooms that blend historic character with modern comfort. Students will enjoy inviting common rooms, spacious porches, and relaxing outdoor spaces, all within easy walking distance of campus, nature trails,  beaches, shops and restaurants.

The inn’s long tradition of hospitality will now offer a warm, supportive residential experience—a true “home away from home” for Falmouth Academy boarders.
