Grandparents and Special Friends Day Brings Generations Together at Falmouth Academy
Falmouth Academy welcomed 136 grandparents and special friends to campus on Friday for the 34th annual Grandparents and Special Friends Day, a beloved tradition celebrating the connections that make our school community so special. Some guests traveled from as far away as Florida to share in the daily life and energy of FA.
The day opened with a performance by the International Ensemble, followed by remarks from the Head of School. Guests then met up with their grandchildren to attend classes — photography, ceramics, advanced art, earth science, forensic science, baking, calculus, and more — getting an inside look at the hands-on learning that defines Falmouth Academy. After class visits, everyone gathered for All-School Meeting, a lively moment that highlighted our strong sense of community and belonging. The celebration continued over lunch, and families capped the day by posing for portraits together.
It was a beautiful day on campus — full of smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments of connection between generations. Thank you to all the grandparents and special friends who made the trip to share in this celebration of community, learning, and love.
