Every Falmouth Academy student has a faculty advisor to guide him or her with academic and social issues. The advisor meets regularly with each advisee to review progress reports and report cards. The advisor is the first point of contact for both parents and the student if concerns arise around the emotional, social or academic well-being of a student. Advisors touch base with parents regularly, calling or meeting early in the year, at Back-to-School Night and at other times as needed.
Each grade also has a class advisor. The class advisor stays with a class through the six-year cycle from seventh grade through graduation. His or her role is overseeing the grade as a whole, attending to social aspects and class issues, planning class trips and social events, and facilitating class meetings.
